People call this cage free, as if they are treating chickens so much better than cramming them into cages. The chickens are still in overcrowded areas, still breath faeces and are around death as chicken continue to die because they have no room to move, still have their beaks clipped, and are still full of hormones and antibiotics. Is this what we want when we pay more for eggs from chickens that we think are looked after?
